Hormagaunts Done

Finished up my first batch of 18 Hormagaunts last night. That should leave me with...32 more to finish for my planned 2k list that I someday want to put together. That seems like a lot to finish, but between the 25 Termigants and these hormagaunts that are now completed, I'm over half way done with my gaunts.

Up next for the 'nids is my first Zoanthrope. I've already got him assembled, just need to prime him and throw some paint at him and hope it sticks. Although, I do have a squad of Deathwing that needs to get painted up, and they are looking awfully tempting...I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

What I've been doing

Just a quick update on what I've been doing hobby-wise for the past few months. I've been busy continuing work on my Tyranids and I've slowly started to work on my Imperial Guard. I've managed to get the 'Nids to a painted and playable 1000 points, minus the Hormagaunts you see there that are still gray, but I'm working on that.

The Imperial Guard on the other hand I haven't actually painted anything new for them, mostly just been doing repairs on mini's that have been broken over the years. I actually just got those Ogryn's in the front in a trade yesterday, and Monday I will be getting a squad of Rough Riders too, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Anyways, that's all for now. I know I don't always have time to post on the site and keep content coming regularly, but when life permits I like to take the time to post up what I've been working on and share my projects with all the bloggers out there.

Aloha!

Its been awhile since I've posted on here it seems. But I'm not going to bore anyone with my life story for the past few months, so I'm here to just ask a question.

Can anyone recommend a good starter kit for resin casting? I need 21 60mm bases to mount the old metal IG heavy weapons teams onto, and I really don't want to buy them. Best I can figure, it would probably cost about the same to get a kit as it would to buy all the bases separately.
